I, Hanasakajii ,stated three month ago that the starting of cherry blossoms this year will be the 10th of March. But it did not happened. As a penalty Hanasakajii delivered orchids for members who are participated in the bet. Mama san of Okiagari Koboshi of Japnese restaurant, a member of the betting kindly prepared a beautiful momorial cake for the memorial party to finalize the betting for all of the fortunate and unfortunate persons.

いきさつ: 花咲爺さんは３ヶ月ほど前に、「今年は暖冬だから櫻の開花宣言は３月１０日に出る」と宣言。そんなばかな！　いかにも早すぎる！　と皆さん。 そこで下記の約束ができました。
　　　　　　　もし、櫻が開花しなかった場合は、世の中を騒がせた罰として、花咲爺はみなさんに、蘭を一鉢
ずつプレゼントする。

ところが、図らずもママさんの粋な図らいで、なぐさめの？ケーキの差し入れがあり、全員楽しく美味しく頂戴したのであった。
